Richard Chudzynski is PwC’s Middle East Legal Data Privacy Leader and set up the data privacy department at PwC in 2015 In this role he leads projects in data privacy, across many industries. He has 12 years of experience helping clients manage complex legal issues. Outside of the Middle East he has worked and studied in Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
Richard is seen as one of the leading data protection and privacy lawyers in the Middle East region and has extensive experience, having been involved in a number of significant privacy projects, having advised and implemented projects across the FS, hospitality, aviation and tech sectors.
Richard also supports data protection regulators across the region and led the establishment of the first GCC national privacy regulator, from inception, to implementing its data protection law, as well as drafting the data privacy Ministerial Decree in respect of where significant gaps exist in the current law.
